Stock exchange seeks a savior

       The global turmoil, that emerged by the crisis in Russia, continues to shake the Turkish markets too. But the Istanbul Stock Exchange primarily wants to get rid of the mandatory taxation on shares. The exchange, which is in need of a termination of overwhelming circumstances, will then start to wait for a recovery in the conjuncture on the globe.
       The Far Eastern crisis reached its peak and jumped to Latin America right after the announcement of a moratorium by Russia. The crisis also expanded into the stock markets of developed and emerging countries. A probable negative development in China is threatening the markets too.
       According to a report relased by brokerage firm directors, the turmoil that hit the capital markets, jumped to real economy. The upward trend that started in 1990 came to an end and now recession is starting.
       The report claims that there is no parallel between the global crisis and the " label an our stock exhange as the 'most losing' one. Withdrawal of present incentives instead of providing new ones at a time of unclearity due to early elections, is a wrong - timing.
