The name right of Tiffany & Tomato, a ready made clothing company - which was filed a lawsuit by its creditors and sequestrated after the owner fled the country swindling the market $35 million - is sold.
The "Tiffany" and "Tomato" were sold out to the Modateks and the Junior Tekstil, respectively the two creditors of the company, by the 13th Court - bailiff's office. In the investigation it was found out that Sedat Onur had merged the two combonies and created the Tiffany & Tomato.
The Modateks to which Sedat Onur
has to pay $1 million is determined to continue with the same "Tiffany" brand - which he paid 31 billion liras - and policy. Company coordinator Nuvit Alyanak said the proposal to buy the name rights has come from the outlets. "Tiffany has good image and outlet organization in the market. We will continue with the line. We are an export company in fact. We will give our own goods to the outlets without any concessions from the qality of the products. But we won't repeat Mr. Onur's mistakes. The clothes will be cheaper and of good - quality when compared with the market standarts."
